Pick Your Billing Date!

Understanding My Bill

Imagine setting up your due date for your power bill so it always comes due soon after YOU get paid! You can do just that if you are a good paying member of CVEC.

What is “good paying”?

  • Two or fewer late payments in the past 12 months.
  • No disconnects in past 36 months.
  • Been a CVEC member for at least
    12 months.

What are the details?

You can pick your own billing date which will determine your payment due date. Tell us when you want to pay and we will figure it out.

Select your ideal pay date during the month from the 1st to the 15th of the month, or from the 22nd through the 31st. (Note: In June of 2016, CVEC will be consolidating our process to four billing dates, one per week, and there will be four payment due dates 20 days after the bill is presented.)

You can stay on auto bank draft and still use Western Union Speedpay recurring payment options.

Be aware that the first bill with this option may be higher or lower than normal as we adjust for shorter or longer billing periods! Also, if your bill has already been processed in the month you sign up, the change will not take effect until the next month.

Also, should your account be put on a collection list, you will changed back to your original billing date and a letter will be sent advising you of the change.
