Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC) is eager to present a Live Line Safety Demonstration to the schools in its service area. Trained CVEC line technicians operate the Live Line, teaching students about their safety equipment, demonstrating the dangers of electrical wires and power lines, and answering students’ questions about electricity and CVEC. The live line demo uses full-sized equipment on the back of a trailer and includes a few loud booms as the equipment operates.
Appointments for the Live Line demonstrations are limited, scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis, and must be booked at least 3 weeks in advance. To schedule a demonstration, contact Ginny Tyree via email or call (800) 367-2832, extension 1501.
