The Board of Directors of Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC) announced the appointment of 2 new interim directors who will serve until they stand for election at the Annual Meeting in September. In January, CVEC members were notified via a special mailing about 2 director vacancies: one in the East District due to the passing of Gloria Vest and one in the West District due to the retirement of Henry Chiles. Frances Caruccio, PE of Albemarle County, and Lisa Jackson of Louisa County were selected after a rigorous interview process to fill the 2 vacant positions. The selection committee faced a challenging decision due to the depth and talent of the candidate pool for the 2 available seats.
These newly appointed directors join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing the Cooperative’s mission of providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions to its members. Their diverse perspectives will be instrumental in guiding strategic decision-making and ensuring the Cooperative remains responsive to the evolving needs of the community.

Meet the Directors:
Francis Caruccio, PE is a resident of Albemarle County, living on a small farm in Charlottesville with his wife Julie, and their children, Evalina and Francesco. Currently, he is self-employed as a Facilities and Engineering Consultant. He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
Lisa S. Jackson is a resident of Louisa County where she lives with her husband, Stacey. Currently, she is the Fiscal Director of the Virginia Department of Fire Programs. She holds a BS in Accounting and a Concentration in Human Resource Management from Strayer University.
