Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC) and Firefly Fiber Broadband employees came together in October for a safety celebration and training day. Employees attended classes geared toward safety in the workplace and on the job sites. While the day was filled with safety takeaways, there was also a focus on giving back to the communities we serve during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Employees from both CVEC and Firefly helped to create 100 comfort bags filled with thoughtful essentials like motivational water bottles, warm blankets, crossword puzzles, notebooks, pens, sunglasses, lip balm, lotion, socks, and tissues. These bags will be donated to our local cancer center to bring comfort and encouragement to those undergoing cancer treatment.
We’re proud to support our community through acts of kindness and care. Together, we’re making a difference and transforming lives!
