Palmyra, VA – Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC) proudly announces that Lisa S. Jackson, a dedicated member of its Board of Directors, has earned the Director Certification from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). Jackson is a resident of Louisa County where she lives with her husband, Stacey.
Jackson is serving in her first year on the Board, and this certification marks an important milestone in her commitment to cooperative leadership. The certification equips board members with essential knowledge in governance, financial decision-making, and industry trends to better serve cooperative members. Upon completion of all five Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) courses, directors are awarded the certification.
Jackson has a strong commitment to the cooperative’s mission of providing reliable, affordable electricity to its members. By earning this certification, she demonstrates a dedication to continuous learning and leadership in the electric cooperative industry.
Lisa holds a BS in Accounting and a Concentration in Human Resource Management from Strayer University. Additionally, she serves as Chair of the Pastoral Search Committee at Byrd Grove Baptist Church. Lisa previously served her community with a 2-year term as Treasurer of the Virginia Correctional Association Board and served on the Parental Advisory Committee for Louisa County Public Schools. Currently, she is the Fiscal Director of the Virginia Department of Fire Programs.
